Life and Hope Program

Life and Hope began in 2006 as a non-denominational church, teaching basic Biblical principals. Pastor Antonio Pino, is an employee of Hope for Honduras and a Honduran. He does not live in the colonias, but works there six days a week.

Today, this program has changed a lot! We no longer have a normal church setting and Sunday service, but rather, we function through small groups all over the mountain. We also have basic Bible Institute for those interested in learning more and a church planting program for pastors on the mountain. COVID-19 forced us to rethink how we do “church” . It was hard at first, but God has been faithful to show us how to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ in new and better ways.

Hope Bible Institute offers three programs for the residents

of our surrounding area:

Church Planting Program

Church Planting Program is in partnership with Clear Creek Community Church and trains pastors and leaders in the area to multiply and plant new churches on the mountain.  This is an on-going training and support program for the churches.

Lay Bible Class

Lay Bible Class is a three-year Bible education program.  The residents on the mountain are able to receive these classes free of charge and get a Bible School diploma at the end or their studies.

Hope Care

Hope Care is a service to the community that helps with marriage and family development, counseling of our Hope Academy students and their families, and involves the pastors from the Church Planting Program. Our education programs have students from fifteen colonias (neighborhoods) all over the mountain and they need the spiritual and emotion care this program provides.
